Pursuant to the Colorado Open Meeting Law, C.R.S. § 26-6-401 et seq., these board agendas are posted prior to board meetings, on the public bulletin board at the Teller County Sheriff’s Office, El Paso County Government posting site, the El Paso-Teller County 911 Authority Office, and on this webpage.

The minutes are compiled after each regular session board meeting and submitted for approval at the following regular session board meeting. Minutes are posted on this webpage once approved by the Authority Board. Minutes from previous Authority Board meetings can be requested by contacting us through our Contact Us page.

Overview
The El Paso-Teller County Authority Board is composed of nine members. There are:
  • 3 members are appointed by the Colorado Springs City Council to represent the City
  • 1 member is appointed to represent Teller County
  • 2 members are appointed by the El Paso County Commissioners and represent El Paso County at Large
The remaining 3 members are appointed by the Authority to represent cities, towns, military, and special districts.

Each Authority member can serve a maximum of 2, 3-year terms. Considerable time is given by those who serve on the Board to assure that the 911 system in El Paso and Teller Counties operates in a highly professional manner.
