WARNING: You should not rely on the Reverse 911 Early Warning Notification System as your primary means of emergency notification. The El Paso-Teller E-911 Authority does not guarantee that your cell phone will receive Reverse 911 Early Warning Notifications.
The El Paso-Teller E-911 Authority can contact you via cell phone with Reverse 911 Early Warning Notifications. Just register your information below, and your cell phone number will be added to our signup database. You will receive a phone call from one of our staff members prior to your information being added to the Reverse 911 Early Warning Notification database, to verify that the information we have on file for you is accurate.
What To Expect When You Get A Call
The Reverse 911 notification you will receive is a recorded message that begins with “THIS IS AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM 911.” The recording will then ask you to press “1” on your phone to listen to the message. If you end the call before the entire message has played, the system will call you back again, so PLEASE DO NOT HANG UP UNTIL YOU HAVE HEARD THE ENTIRE MESSAGE.
The recorded message you hear will inform you about the event, and will only contact those people in the geographic area designated to receive the call. Your message can be replayed at the end by pressing “1”. Please follow the instructions given during the message, and if prompted, call the phone number that is provided for you.
PLEASE DO NOT DIAL 911 FOLLOWING THE RECORDED MESSAGE.
