9-1-1 Hero Award

The El Paso-Teller County 9-1-1- Authority has a 9-1-1 Hero Program that recognizes child callers in the community for a job well done for calling 9-1-1. 9-1-1 Hero Awards are based on the following criteria:

  1. The program recognizes children aged 16 and younger; however, exceptions may be considered.
  2. The phone call must have been initiated by the youth.
  3. The youth's action created a positive outcome by saving a life, significantly reducing property loss, or stopping a crime.
